The Magic Jacket

We are learning to use camera angles and editing to create a movie.

This week we have been learning about movie making using We Video. I learned how to do different camera angles which will make my movies more captivating.

Today I learned how to edit some of our videos using We Video. I used the cutting funtion which is the cutting tool to cut the parts I didn't need in my movie.

Some of our class' students added audio to their movies.

I found it easy to use shots that I was familiar with, such as mid shot amd worms-eye view.

I found it difficult to get the timing right and the lighting from where the position I was making for my movie. The sound was very tricky because it was windy and there was a lot of background noise from other student playing and yelling.

I really enjoyed acting and being able to come up with my own ideas.

Next time in need to try working at a slower pace on my movie bit by bit so I finish it properly.

Basic Facts

We were learning how to practise our times tables and I did stage 6 because I moved up a stage and that stage was, stage 6.

As you can see it took me 7 minutes and 59 seconds.


I found it easy to answer the addition and Times tables.

I found it difficult to get different strategies to answer the harder equations.

I really enjoyed the part where I got 100%.

Maybe next time I could try a different stage or a harder level and get 100% again.

We are learning to focus on Cybersmart category during weekly sessions every term.

I found it easy to find backround for my slides and the shapes.

I found it hard to get ideas from myself and google search

I really enjoyed taking my photo and doing remove.bg on my photo and putting it on my presentation.

Next time I need to use more punctuation and language features.

We are learning to communicate about physical characteristics.

I found it easy to go onto my google explore tool and find the pictures.

I found it hard to do my audio because I had to keep on saying and getting the words correctly.

I really enjoyed speaking Maori in my audio on my presentation.

Next time I need to create something much harder for my task and something slightly different.

My Wheke Document

What does Beth think about Octopus’? I think that Beth likes to save marine 

animals but she also likes to save and take care of other sea animals like octopi.


How do you know that? Because she has a collection of marine animals 

in the laboratory.



How do you think Martin feels about octopus’? I think that Martin is scared 

of octopuses.


How do you know that? Because when he was looking at the octopus

 I could tell that he was scared because of his facial expressions.


What type of job does Beth have? Beth’s job is a marine biologist. 

She takes care of sea creatures and studies them.


How does she know Martin? She knows Martin because he is her 

next door neighbor, I know this because in the book it says 

Beth was Martin's neighbour.



Narrative: Retell the story in order.


What was the problem? Martin was quite scared of octopus because 

when he was looking at the Octopus he thought that Octopi was horrifying.


What was the solution? Martin was regularly visiting Wheke for a long time 

and caring for him. He then became good friends with Wheke and wasn’t scared 

of him at all.


Who were the characters? Martin, his Mum, Beth and Wheke.


Where was the setting? In Beth's laboratory and the sea.


We were learning to infer and make predictions when we are reading.

I found it easy to understand the questions.

I found it hard to gather my information for my doc.

I really enjoyed creating this document.

Next time I need to think more harder and make more time for my learning.

My Digital Map

We are learning about how we advertise ourselves online.
We talked about only posting things online that keeps us safe. We learned
how tagging photos and posts make it easier to find out bout someone, so we need to be careful about
our posts content.

We created a DLO showing our Digital Day.

Today we made a Digital Map for Cybersmart and used our history to find out what sites and pages that we visited in the past.

Secondly we used the search bar and looked for those icons. We also had footprints to make a path on our Digital Map.

Thirdly and finally we put the icons on our Digital Map.

I noticed that the most sites that I visited were google.

I found it hard to find the waterways

I found it easy to put icons on the pins

I found it easy to highlight the verbs, adjectives, nouns and the adverbs.

I found it hard to draw my fish and jellyfish.

I really enjoyed colouring in.

Next time I need to take some time and stop rushing through my drawings.

I found it hard to get information from the book and on google

I really enjoyed creating my Matariki drawing

I learned that where ever you go when you are online, your device always tracks you.

My Blake NZ V-R Presentation

Last term Blake NZ visited. We  learned about Marine Reserves. We were able to use VR sets to explore the oceans.

I found it easy to learn about protecting the ocean because the VR sets mode were interesting

Kia ora my name is Isabella and I am 9 years of age turning ten at the end of the year.


I´m good at netball, and the position I play is centre.

The Loaves

We were learning about metaphors.

A metaphor compares two different things.

In this poem the author used metaphor to compare bread to clouds.
 



I found it easy to highlight the metaphors in the poem and find them.

I found it hard to make my designs perfect when I was drawing.

I really enjoyed colouring my bubbles and my mushrooms.
