Recount Writing-At Netball.

Ratu 25th of Pipiri 

WALT use the correct structure and language for Recount Writing.

At Netball.

On Saturday me and cousins played netball.

First we got dressed into our uniforms.

Next we put our shoes on.

After we put our shoes on we went to the car and

we drove to Kaikohe. When we went to Kaikohe we went to the courts.

When we got to the courts me, my mum, my nana

and my little baby sister and Angel got some breakfast up at the window. 

After we finished our breakfast we went

to put the chairs down at the netball courts.

After we sorted the chairs everyone came to the netball courts.

When everyone was at the netball courts we warmed up.

We ran around the court three times.

It was tiring but fun at the same time. 

Then we had to stretch. -

After that we had to catch the ball and then throw

it back to my nana who is the coach.

Then Nana threw the ball back to us.

We had to jump for it. We practiced that for like ten times and

then we played the real game.

It was fun playing netball.

The score was 23 to 0 and the players of the day was Jazelle and Riccashaye.

Finally netball  was finished and everyone came

over to my house to have a hangi and a cake

but when the kids were finished we played silly ball

with Riccashayes handball. It was fun playing sillyball.

After the adults had finished their kai everyone started to

leave and then there were not enough kids to

play sillyball with so we had to play handball.

Then it went dark. When it went dark we had

to go and watch movies. The films were cool I liked them. 

We had to take turns with the movies.

We watched a scary movie. It was so scary I hated it.

Persuasive Writing-Homework

Homework

Learning is important. We need to learn homework at school and at home every day and every night.

I think we should do homework every day and every night.

Firstly I think we should do homework every day and every night because homework helps us grow smarter and gives our brain a workout.

Secondly I think we should do our homework every day and every night so that we can achieve our goals and get 100% in our spelling test. To get 100% in your spelling you have to practise it every day and every night.

Thirdly I think we should do homework every day and every night so we can improve our reading goals.

By improving your reading goals you can read your books every day and every night so you can improve your reading goals.

That’s why I think we should do our homework every day and every night.

Persuasive Writing

Brushing Teeth

Teeth are important because they help us
chew our food in our mouth and you need
to look after them.

So I think we should brush our teeth
every day and every night.

Firstly I think we should brush our teeth
every day and every night so that we can have
nice smelling teeth.

By brushing our teeth we are cleaning out the
leftover food between our teeth.
When we brush our teeth it’s nice and clean and not smelly.

Secondly I think we should brush our teeth
so that the bacteria does not eat our teeth.
When you brush your teeth you brush
the bacteria out of your teeth.
If we don’t brush our teeth
the bacteria comes in and eats our teeth
and we will get a hole in our teeth.  

Thirdly I think we should brush our teeth
every day and every night.
When you eat food some food is stuck
between your teeth and that’s
why it is so important to brush your teeth
every day and every night.

Brushing our teeth is really good.     

So that’s why I think we should brush our teeth
every day and every night.

My Mum

My Mum

My Mum is amazing.

She always takes care of me.

Mum makes breakfast for me and cooks food for me.

She washes my clothes and folds up my washing.

She makes my bed every morning.

Mum does the dishes and cleans the house every day.

She feeds my sister every day and every night.

She takes my sister to kohanga reo.

I appreciate all the work she does for me.

My mum makes me so happy.

She tickles me and I laugh.

Mum hugs me every day and every night.

She is amazing. I love her to the moon and back.

                       

Recount Writing-Netball Day.

Netball day.

In the holidays me, my cousins and my mum

and my little baby sister and my step dad

went to netball in Kaikohe.

First we had a shower.

After our shower we got dressed into our uniform.

Then we put our coat on and our shoes on.

After we put our shoes on we went to netball

and I was excited to go to netball.

Then we went to the netball courts.

When we got there we were practising.

We did fast 6.

For our games we played against Kaikohe West

and Moerewa Magic.

Our team was called Awarua Angels.

We won all of our games. It was cool. I liked netball.

Then I went with my papa to the Warehouse

and I got two squishies, dairy, some feltips,

and pop slime.

I got Angel something too. I got her two squishies, and pop slime.

After the Warehouse me and my papa went to Mcdonalds.

I got me a bacon and egg McMuffin and for my drink I got rapberry. Then me and my papa went to the park

where my cousin, my mum, aunties,

and my step dad were.

I went to play with my cousins. We had lollies.

Me and my cousins were playing all kinds of rides.

I thought it was cool at netball and the park.

Going to my Nana Kim’s house and my cousins birthday

On the weekend I went to my Nana Kim’s after school.

First I had a shower. Angel had a shower.

Next me and Angel packed our suitcase then we got dressed into our clothes.

I was really excited to go to my Nana Kim’s house.

After me and Angel got dressed me, my nana, and Angel,

and my little baby sister went to Whangarei. Me and Angel were asleep.

We were almost there. I was so excited to go to my Nana Kim’s house.

When we got there I gave her a hug then we watched some movies.

Later on we went to the park me and Angel went on the swing

and the monkey bars. We went on all kinds of rides.

After the park we went to the ice cream shop and

I got a chocolate ice cream and Angel got a Vanilla ice cream.

Then we went to McDonalds and I got a double cheeseburger

and a happy meal but I didn’t get a cheeseburger

because I got a double cheeseburger.

For my drink I got a frozen raspberry and mango and a white choc top ice cream.

Angel got a lime and blueberry and my Nana Kim got a happy meal and then we went home. When we got home my Aunty Tina and her son

Javis arrived. I asked my nana Kim if I could go on her phone and she said yes.  

Then I asked her if I could downlowd tik tok and she said yes.

I played heaps of tik tok’s and I did tik toks with Angel and my cousin.

Later on we went for a swim at the Whangarai pools.

I had a long swim because I was excited to go to the Whangarai pools.

It was fun but when it was night we had my cousin’s birthday.

We had karaoke. We had limbo and we had a feed.

There were heaps of treats. They were so yummy.

They had lollies, chocolate, chips. The lollies were yummy.

The chocolate was yum as well the chips were so yum.

I liked my cousin’s birthday. The next day we watched movies.

We were waiting for my step dad to come.

Later on my step dad came to pick us up and

then we went home to my mum. I had a wonderful weekend.

Explain Writing- Tautoro School Community

I am learning to use the correct structure and language for Explain Writing.

In our Tautoro School community we have too many kids going on the park.

The park is too small to fit all the kids.

So the facility that is needed by our Tautoro School community is a bigger park.

Why is a bigger park needed by our Tautoro School community?  

First a bigger park is needed so that the kids can have a bigger space to play in.  

Second the kids can have fun on the park and a bigger space for moving around.  

Last they can play with their friend and have a good time with them.  

These are the reasons why a bigger park is needed by our

A facility is a place where you can do stuff.

Our pool for learning how to swim.

Our playground is a place where you can play on.

Our staffroom is a place where the teachers have there morning tea and lunch.

Recount Writing-At my Nana and Papa's house.

I am learning to add my thoughts and feelings in my recount writing. 
At Nana’s and my Papa’s house 
On the weekend I went to my nana’s and my papa’s.
First I packed my suitcase. Next my mum dropped me off at Parakao and
then my nan picked me up from Parakao. I had fish and chips. It was yummy.
 After that me and my Nana went to her house.
When we got there I got changed into my togs
because I was going to have a swim.
I liked my swim it was fun and cold at the same time.
After my swim I got changed into my dry clothes.
Then me and my nana went up stairs and watched a movie called Big Hero 6.
I liked the movie. It was fantastic and we had some chips.
They were cheezels. After that movie, we watched How to train a dragon.
It was cool. I liked it. It was about heaps of dragons.
There was all kind of dragons in the movie. It was cool.
 The next day I went to the park. I went on the swing the
monkey bars and all of the things that were at the park.
I liked it at the park. It was fun. Then we went to the straightener
shop and got a hair straightener. After that we went home to my nan’s
house and she straightened my hair. Then we went to go give my
nan’s friend some food because she needed some food and
then my nan dropped me off at Parakao and my mum
picked me up and then I went home with my mum.
